Norge har vært en aktiv deltaker i OSSE siden organisasjonens begynnelse som KSSE i 1973. Det daglige arbeidet med å fremme norske synspunkter i OSSE foretas av Norges faste delegasjon i Wien, i samarbeid med Seksjon for Russland, Eurasia og regionalt samarbeid i Utenriksdepartementet i Oslo. The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) was established in 1991 and consists of 320 parliamentarians from the 56 participant states. Its three committees are structured along the three OSCE dimensions: Politico-military, Economic-environmental and Human.
